GRANDE PROPERTIES

The beautiful Fall season has arrived and is the perfect time of the year to create the sense of warmth and comfort that home buyers are looking for.  With all of the changing leaf colors around us, holiday decor in the stores, and great scents in the air, there are plenty of places to draw inspiration from to make home buyers FALL in love with your house.

Here are 3 easy ways to turn up the warmth and charm for home buyers this season:

1) Incorporate warm colors throughout your house with accents in red, gold, orange, or shades of brown. You can create a simple, but elegant centerpiece for your dining table with a charger plate (I like gold or red) and a collection of pillar candles in varying heights (keep the color the same). Also, think about changing out the throw pillows on your couch for a warm cozy feel in the living room, where your buyer might want to get comfortable.  Remember the longer they stay, the more likely they are to make an offer.

2) Create an inviting scent that gets the buyer in a good mood from the time they walk in the door. My favorite way to do this is with Glade’s Scented Plug-ins or Air Wick’s Scented Plug-in.  The apple cinnamon scent is a great smell that instantly makes people feel at home.

3) A buyer’s first impression with your house is very important to setting the stage from the very beginning. If you live in an apartment, you can do this very easily with a decorative wreath or a new welcome mat. Those of you in the suburbs, can dress up your outdoor entryway additionally with potted mum plants in fall colors or pumpkins in varying sizes on either side of your door.

When you’re trying to sell your house, particularly before the often slower winter selling season, you want to give your buyer every reason to fall in love with your house and make an offer.  These 3 easy tips will go a long way to putting them into the buying frame of mind.

Happy Selling,
